What Awakening Actually Does for You
“To awaken is not to reject the dream. It is to become lucid within it, and know that we are not the story but the storyteller.” — Unknown
One of the biggest challenges I faced during my journey was the depth of my grief. The pain buried in my body and soul felt overwhelming. I remember one moment clearly—I walked into my house and began screaming. I screamed for hours, until I physically couldn’t anymore.
Afterwards, my throat was sore for a week, and I had even bitten through both sides of my tongue. But when that moment passed—when that phase of the dark night of the soul ended—I felt lighter. I had finally uncovered where the shame, pain, and sadness were hiding. And I released it.
That experience taught me something powerful: I didn’t have to suppress my emotions. I could move through them—and come out stronger on the other side.
Awakening Is Reconstruction
Awakening isn’t just about realization—it’s about reconstruction.
It disrupts what once felt stable, challenges how you’ve been living, and strips away versions of yourself built on survival, conditioning, and external validation.
In that process, it can feel like you’re losing your footing. But what’s really happening is this:
You are rebuilding your foundation—this time based on truth instead of illusion.
The Shift from External to Internal Stability
Before awakening, stability often comes from external factors—routine, relationships, and predictability.
Everything feels manageable as long as those things stay intact. But deep down, there’s often a quiet sense that something is missing.
Then something shifts. The old ways stop working. You begin to question everything:
• What is true for me?
• What do I need to release?
• Who am I without the old version of myself?
As those external anchors fall away, life may feel uncertain—but you’re being guided toward something deeper:
Internal stability.
Emotional Regulation Happens Naturally
One unexpected result of awakening is increased emotional awareness.
At first, emotions may feel stronger—because you’re no longer avoiding them. You’re actually experiencing them.
Over time, you begin to notice:
• You don’t react as quickly
• You understand emotions instead of being controlled by them
• You can sit with discomfort without escaping it
This isn’t forced—it develops naturally as awareness expands.
Mental Clarity Comes from Seeing Clearly
Awakening doesn’t just shift emotions—it transforms perception.
You begin to see clearly:
• Where you acted from fear
• Where patterns were unconscious
• Where you were out of alignment
With that awareness comes clarity—not because life becomes simple, but because you stop confusing yourself.
You are no longer:
• Over-identifying with thoughts
• Getting trapped in mental loops
• Seeking constant validation
You begin to trust your inner guidance—and that becomes your foundation.
Stability Feels Different Now
After awakening, stability doesn’t mean everything is perfect.
It means you remain steady even when things are changing.
You stay connected to yourself—even in uncertainty.
Your internal state becomes quieter, calmer, and less dependent on the outside world.
You’ve found your center—even in the middle of chaos.
You’ve Got This
Over time, you develop a deep confidence in your ability to navigate life.
This confidence comes from experience—from moving through pain, growth, and transformation.
You learn that you can handle both internal and external storms.
As Ram Dass said:
“Awakening is not changing who you are, but discarding who you are not.”
It doesn’t mean it won’t hurt—but it means you now have the strength to move through it and grow.
